You need the following things:

1. figure out how big your coop needs to be
2. Get some carpentry tools
3. Get a selection of chicken coop plans
4. Buy the necessary material like wood and chicken wire
5. Clear an area on your land

Most of all, build the coop with a view of the future as your flock will likely grow.
